Founded in 2001, the Lighthouse Community Ministries, Inc. (LCMI) are happy to share the blessings that God provides our church family with those in our community that are less fortunate. The goal of this ministry is to not only meet physical needs but share Christ in such a way that the client will be spiritually provided for as well. The following is a list of some of the ministries that are found under the umbrella of the LCMI.

Bread Ministry

The Bread Ministry connects the resources of Kroger Food Stores with volunteers who sort and make bread and pastry products available to needy families on a weekly basis.

  • All LCMI clients may pickup bread on a weekly basis.
  • Fresh bread is available every Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
Food Pantry

Food and various household items are available on an emergency basis.

  • All LCMI client families may use the food pantry up to 3 times per calendar year.
  • The Food Pantry is open during all LCMI operating hours.
Financial Counseling

Provides budget and financial counseling for LCMI families.

  • By appointment only
  • Can be referred by the Strategy Coordinator or be contacted by LCMI clients directly.
Clothes Closet

Collects and distributes "gently worn" clothing for all ages.

  • Client families may use the closet up to four times per season.
  • If sizes are not available, client families may return at another time.
  • The Clothes Closet is open during all LCMI operating hours.
Furniture for Families

Distributes furniture and appliances to client families.

  • Client families must share their need with our Strategy Coordinator during their initial interview.
  • If item is available, the LCMI staff will decide on the need of the client.
  • Clients must provide their own pick up, delivery, and installation of furniture and appliance items.
